Business Challenge

Enhance the business acumen of your non-financial managers and empower them to drive business value.

Understanding Business Through Competition

Equip your non-financial managers with the tools they need to understand value creation. They’ll learn to balance business variables and make economic trade-offs while under pressure, putting their skills to the test and learning from their successes and failures. Through expert faculty debriefs and an immersive learn-by-doing environment, non-financial managers will more confidently understand financial data and make decisions that drive business value.

The challenge had a strong impact. Instead of remembering financial terms, I had the chance to make mistakes and learn from it.

Why Business Challenge?

People across the enterprise need to communicate effectively about business metrics and evaluate financial data to make informed business decisions. Business Challenge gives them the practice environment to more confidently use financial data to make decisions that drive business value.

The simulation was excellent, made you consider factors like risk, competitors, growth strategies but in a fun and engaging way.

How Does it Work?

  • Participants compete in a dynamic business simulation and manage the complete value creation cycle — from sales and operations to launching new business units.
  • Participants work in small cohorts to practice interpreting financial data using targeted practice exercises.
  • The experience incorporates lessons in strategic planning, financial statement analysis, cost structure analysis, evaluating financial levers, and understanding the drivers of business value.
  • Certified faculty with extensive finance and training experience debrief the learning and provide coaching insights.
  • Facilitator certification for client-internal trainers is available.
  • Ask about online access to Fluent in Finance, an interactive self-paced pre-work curriculum designed to supplement the Business Challenge experience.

I feel that I now have the knowledge to understand CFO-level financial discussions at a basic level.
